(Photo) The Englishman Brooks, trying to localize the Egypt using an electromagnetic apparatus.
The Swedish Company "Gothenburg Salvage and Towage Company" first attempted in 1923 to locate the Egypt. During the spring, the salvage ship Fritjof and two Swedish tugs under the command of Captain Hedbäck found, after two months of research, a wreck that they identified as the Egypt. The site was marked on the maps, but not in the ocean with buoys: thus, the localization of the wreck was very uncertain. |
